Finding similarities between a picture and a painting can be like a time travel ; crossing the line between art and reality is sometimes quite interesting.
André Devambez (1867-1944) from a portrait of the painter’s children and Pio Marmai, french actor. Manhood position hello!
Hans Christiansen (1866-1944), Portrait of a young man and Pierre Niney, french actor. Both so delicate.
Frank Dicksee (1853-1928), Portrait of Elsa and Cléo de Mérode (1875-1966), french dancer. Look at these eyebrows!
Rob Liberace, crouching figure and Christian Bale in American Psycho.
Monet (1840-1926), La Femme à l’ombrelle and the english series Downton Abbey. It is not obvious but when I saw this picture of the three girls, the light shades and the texture of the dresses made me somehow think of this painting.
And finally, a self-portrait of Picasso (1881-1973) and a picture of Franz Kafka (1883-1924). I know they do not look alike but there is something about the eyes… Don’t you think?
